Replacement of Loose Nails

The loss of the nail on the big toe, not only affects the aesthectis of the foot but can also produce a deformation of the toe.

Nail loss can be caused by many things such as trauma, infection of the cuticle and as result of nail surgery. As a consecuente of pressure on the toe from footware (socks, shoes) the toe takes on an erroneous shape, and an invasión of the tip of the toe nail takes place.

Our surgeons have developed treatments to solve this problem by create a bed and then put a silicone nail or by transplanting  mails from other toes to the affected toe.

The aesthetic and functional results are very satisfactory and patients are again able to wear sandals or open shoes without embarrasment.
